Welcome to my Blog of "Hearts and Minds of Tiny, Stony Buddha"
I have found some visitors from overseas who might see Photo of Stony Buddha here.
At the same time they tried to translate writings in the Blog with the Photo by Google translation.
I do appreciate for your interests with this Blog and my writings but please also understand
this mechanical translation is sometimes wrong and may make you misunderstood.
Case is found in the Blog 757, Aomori Kannonji-temple, Jizo.
I admit mechanical translation has improved a lot in these days thanks to AI but still a room to be better.
If you are interested in the writings, please write comments/request to me. I will try to make my
writings understood better. Please be noted.
For your reference, Blog 757 is translated by myself as below:https://28401270.at.webry.info/201507/article_9.html
石仏の心757 （Sekibutu no kokoro 757)
Sometime has passed since my last visit to Aomori-City. Ichinenji-temple is located close to the
ASPAMU:triangle-shaped building after the image of the letter “A” from “Aomori”and I have been
to this temple everytime I was there.
Kannon-statue, holding baby is at the entrance gate. In the temple grounds, Jizo-do hall is located to the left in front of main hall. I have never seen the door of Jizo-do hall open before but fortunately I could see the Jizo statue in beautiful Kimono-cloth this time because it is the day of Jizo I visited. (This day is "Day of Jizo/ Jizo-Bon in Japanese" commonly celebrated in Eastern area of Japan (Kansai).)
Jizo is the small god for kids and babies, protecting their life and minds for the future.
Many parents have come to see Jizo for praying for kids and babies so that Jizo is
bearing heavy resposiblity.
Usually community there is calm but they gets active because of Nebuta Festival at the beginning of Aug.
From now this blog, you will see Sekibutu of Aomori for two times.
For your additional information abou the City/Aomori, at the evening of 28th July, 70th memorial
ceremony is held for a heavy aerial bombing to the City by the US Air-force in the World War II.
Pople attending the candle ceremony praying for a peace as well as similar ceremony held in Yokohama and other cities throught Japan and pray it won't happen again.http://www.toonippo.co.jp/news_too/nto2015/20150728003948.asp
At Atomori prefectual museum, we could observe a moving picutres of bombing taken by US Airforce
at the time of the War. It surely reminds us of cruelty. We do pray for the World without
War for kids in the future.
